This cover is creative and the photo you chose to use has a professional feel to it. The placement of the magazine title is effective and easy to read. Also, your headlines are catchy and use good alignment principles. While I like how you used a color scheme with your text, I feel like more contrast would make it eye catching and easier to read. The only other thing I would change about the cover is the size (maybe placement) of the headline on the right. I can see that you don't want it to cover the face in the picture but it almost looks like its too tight.
I like this one a lot. The only thing that threw me off a bit was the picture, it almost looks as though it was just a little stretched out. But I thought your use of color and simplistic yet complex design was eye catching.
I really enjoy this cover because it has a very smooth feel to it. I love the blue text on the grayscale photo. My only suggestion would be to bring the text in a little bit from the edge so that it does not seem to touch it.
