Steve Wood

This design was inspired by a combination of many stories in and issues for The Temple News. I combined the best of what I liked, namely my stories, and designs to appear across the last two semesters. I was homeless during Spring Break and decided to have a whole paper about it. I also decided to charge the homeless audience $2.75. Money is tight.

This design is well done. The layout of pictures and stories is effective and follows Harrower's rules. The newspaper has a very realistic look to it and all the little details are included like the website, price, date, etc. My favorite thing about this was the teasers, which are eye catching. I also noticed a lot of the little effects you used like chaning headline font and starting a story with the first letter being big. The only suggestion I have would be to have a more dominant photo for your front page.

wow i think this is really really well done. you have so many nice little details and no one story looks exactly the same. i especially like the top with the "brush" headlines.
